AI check
Was this made with AI?
Drop in an image, a vector or a PDF and this page tells you whether it carries Intelligency's AI mark or an AI engine's Content Credential. Free, and your file never leaves your device.
- What is checked
- Two marks. Intelligency's own: every image, vector and brand document made with AI in Intelligency carries the IPTC Digital Source Type in its metadata, the field design tools and platforms read as “made with AI”. And a Content Credential (C2PA), the signed record that several AI engines write into the files they make.
- Where your file goes
- Nowhere. It is read by this page, in your browser, and never uploaded. The result you download is made on your device too.
- What the result holds
- What was found, the file's SHA-256 fingerprint, the address of this page and the time of the check. The fingerprint ties the result to that exact file: change one pixel and it no longer matches.
- What it cannot tell you
- Whether a file without a mark was made by a person. Marks live in the file, so a screenshot or an upload to many social platforms removes them. And the check reads a Content Credential without checking its signature; Content Credentials Verify does that.
- For developers
- Both marks are open standards, so any tool can read them. With exiftool:
exiftool -XMP-iptcExt:DigitalSourceType -XMP-iptcExt:AISystemUsed file.png. The valuetrainedAlgorithmicMediameans made with AI;compositeWithTrainedAlgorithmicMediameans it contains AI-made parts. Specifications: IPTC Digital Source Type and C2PA.
Why files are marked, and what you may and may not do with the mark, is in section 5 of the terms of service. A file that looks wrongly marked, or a question about the check: write to info@intelligency.nl.
